moving along. no delays there and it's going to take you 12 minutes to travel from elk ridge to downtown baltimore. and as we check in and look at the other abc2 timesaver traffic drive times notice the jfx nice and clear heading downtown. 11 minutes to travel southbound from 695 down to fayette street. and the beltway going to be nice and clear on the west side just 8 minutes right now on the outer he loop from 795 down to 70. megan and charley over to you. it's going to be another heart breaking day in newtown connecticut as family and friends get ready to say final good-byes to two innocent children. today two 6-year-old james mattioli and jessica rekos will be laid to rest. james family says he loves baseball and basketball and swimming and wrestling. he and his big sister were the

best of friends. and jessica rekos their parents have been talking about their angel and say it's bringing them tiny moments of comfort. they say they are going to talk to her every day and make sure that her brother knows what an amazing girl she was. jessica's parents remember their daughter as a little girl with an enormous heart. her parents say that she loved horseback riding and they were getting her cowboy boots for christmas. >> they will be the second pair of angels laid to rest. family and friends say final good-byes and did yesterday to two boys. two 6 years old jack pinto and noah pozner will laid to rest. know' mother spoke at the funeral -- noah's mother spoke at the funeral. >> reporter: the first funerals were monday for victims of friday's shooting at sandy hook. the two 6-year-old jack pento and noah pozner were laid to rest. those who attended noah's funeral say the mother's words were poignant.

>> he was good boy and when she told him i love you it's not as much ace love you and constant answer to his mother. >> it was not a dry eye when the mother spoke. tremendous passion and tremendous feeling and i think everyone was touched. >> reporter: family and friends remembered jack pinto. a budding wrestling. many of jack's friends arrive at his funeral wearing newtown wrestling sweet sweat shirts he was a new york giant fan and in fact he was buried in a giants gursy. >> newtown -- jersey. >> newtown is forever changed and we came today as a teammate that's who we are and who newtown is we are here for the pintos. >> reporter: most will return to school this morning. students of sandy hook elementary will not. trucks filled with sandy hook materials headed to a neighboring town to open in a former middle school. >> the materials and back back.

packs they walk into a -- backpacks they will walk into a classroom as close as possible to the classroom they left. >> reporter: no official date when sandy hook will start again. >> people all over the world are grieving this tragedy that is happening in this town in connecticut. at one post office in newtown a special p.o. box has been set up because so many cards are pouring into the community. the notes were sent out to the victims families. a christmas farm in portland oregon sent 26 wreaths to the firehouse in newtown connecticut. that was an emotional epicenter for the parents frantically look for children on friday morning, the morning of the shooting. and the manager of the a flower shop at a town says he received orders of bouquets from all over the world. >> some from germany and some from new britain and where

else? california, florida, kansas. i mean i think almost anyplace you can think of we have gotten a call. >> this touched so many people so many ways it's profound. the world wants to show people in newtown they are not alone. when 15-year-old sarah jobes died she weighed 73 pounds the woman convicted of starving that teen is up for parole. she has been in prison for ten years serving time for teen's death. jobs was found beaten and emace aid in 2002. -- emaciated in 2002. roberts was sentenced to 0 years behind bars. her attorneys tried tie peal the sentence on grounds of mental illness. congress will break up for the holidays and still no solution before the looming fiscal cliff. >> stay with us this morning. there could be an answer in the works possibly. the president hoping his newest proposal could be a step in the right direction.

sandy hook shootings. >> many are calling for a change to tougher gun laws and linda so is here what's -- with what he's happening. what's going on in the nation's capitol. >> reporter: a newly formed grass roots organization called newtown united will send a delegation to dc calling for better gun control to prevent a similar tragedy from happening in another community. hundreds marched from capitol hill to the national rifeel association dc's office yesterday. -- rifeel association rifeel association's dc office -- rifle association's dc office. even some long time supporters of gun rights like joe manch n say it's time to talk about regulating guns and says he is open to -- manchin says it's time to talk about regulating guns. boughtmore county police chief -- baltimore county police chief is calling for restriction on high capacity magazines. >> we also need a limit on high

orbs and fabulous flower. now let's check the weather with lynette charles. >> once again we have fog this morning. and it's dense in a lot of spots this morning. but not widespread like yesterday. but this will affect a lot of people so take it easy on the roadways this morning. behind me i know you are staring at the green. we had our round of green our round of rain. but we will get another one as we go more to the morning and afternoon hours and behind that, we will get clearing across the area. mainly sunny skies will move in here going into tomorrow. but we will start that clearing out trend by later this afternoon and evening. now temperatures this morning coming in well above average once again. 49 degrees in baltimore. we should be in the upper 20s now for this time of the year for our low temperatures. and you can see that we are about 20 degrees above that. kent island at 50 degrees andthis trend will continue as we go throughout the day. now the afternoon forecast temperature wise a little on the tricky side because right

now, we are in that warm sector. we are in between the cold front and warm front. so that's why we are hilled this morning. detend -- mild this morning. depending when the cold front moves through, we will see if we get to the upper 50s as we go there -- through time today. high pressure will build in for tomorrow. as we work into time, we will have another front that is going to come in and it's going to drop the temperatures as we go towards the weekend. but for today, 58 degrees if we get more sunshine. timing in with that cold front, we will see how that works out. but for tonight, 34 and colder. 53 by tomorrow with the cold front coming in. temperatures won't be as warm. look at the 40s that we are seeing heading into weekend. game time it's going to feel like a good game out there against the giants. let's check the traffic with lauren cook. good morning. >> reporter: good morning. you will want to use the low beams this morning because as lynette mentioned, we are dealing with dense fog across the region. but everything nice and clear here on 97 at benfield
